Satenik Baghdasarian, MA

Art historian and lecturer at the Chair of History and Theory of Armenian Art at Yerevan State University. Her research focuses on medieval Armenian art, sculpture, tombstone art, and memorial monuments, with special attention to the cultural heritage of the Gegharkunik region. Baghdasaryan has presented her research at various international Armenological conferences held at institutions such as the Matenadaran and Yerevan State University. She is the author of two scholarly articles and was awarded a named research grant by the National Association for Armenian Studies and Research (NAASR) in 2023 for her project “The Artistic Value of Tombstones of Noratus Cemetery.” She is currently pursuing her Ph.D., focusing on the artistic design of 15th–18th-century tombstones in the Noratus cemetery.
