Description

  • Front side. Depicted is the figure of the Scholar, shown with a three-lily crown, long braids, a book pressed to the chest, and in the other hand a rather large inscribed plate. The inkwell with a pen is carved in a horizontal position. To the left of the section indicating the deceased’s profession is carved a combat scene between a bull and a lion. The entire scene is framed with a thin braided ornament band.

    Back side. Under arches supported by four massive columns are cross motifs. The columns are decorated with various vegetal and geometric ornaments. The right corner is broken.

    Lateral sides. One side bears an inscription, the other a cross.

    Upper side. Without ornamentation.
