Description

Front side. A riderless horse is shown with its front legs raised, held by the reins by a figure in a long robe, holding a mace-like object. The next figure is playing the saz, and the third person is holding a flatbread marked with the sign of eternity, with the other hand crossed over the chest. In the lower band of the scene are a baptismal font–like object and a jug, while the upper band contains a dish, bread, and in the left corner a vegetal ornament. The figures lack detailed facial features; the sculptor avoided conveying any expressiveness, rendering them in a highly schematic and symbolic manner. The overall composition is enclosed within a rope-braid ornamental band, with the upper frame further bordered by a trefoil vegetal ornament.

Back side. The back surface is quite moss-covered; beneath five niches are cross designs, which terminate at the upper frame in a braided ornamental band.

Lateral sides. On the west face is a five-line inscription stating that this is the resting place of Aleksan, while on the east face is a braided cross with a simple linear cross above it.

Upper side. Concave surface, with simple incised lines visible.
