Torfavan 11
Description
Front side. The composition is built around two identical figures. They are shown wearing cloaks and lack facial expressiveness. The first figure holds a goblet, while the second holds a cross. Between them are two inscribed plates, which, due to erosion, were not deciphered by S. Barkhudaryan. The scene also includes an inkwell with a pen, a jar, and books. The upper zone is filled with simple crosses, and in the lower part the date is inscribed. The entire scene is enclosed within a plaited-rope border.
Back side. Within three niche-shaped fields are cross motifs, with the lower zone decorated with palm-leaf ornament. The composition is framed with a meander-like chain.
Lateral sides. Both lateral planes display identical cross motifs.
Upper side. Flat surface, without ornamentation.
